Genre: R&B, Soul Booker T. Jones is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and one of the key architects of the Stax Records sound. As the leader of Booker T. & the MGs, he helped shape modern soul music and created one of the most recognizable instrumental tracks of all time: “Green Onions.” His influence reaches across decades, collaborating with legends such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Willie Nelson. Jones remains an essential force in American music, touring internationally and continuing to inspire new generations with his unmistakable Hammond B3 mastery and timeless groove.

If you're a new volunteer, please come 15 minutes early and ask for the House Manager so we can give you a quick orientation to your duties for the event. When you arrive at the Center (314 W. Main Street, Grass Valley) enter through the front lobby doors and check in at the volunteer table in the gallery.
