The Center for the Arts
Genre: Comedy Steve-O (a.k.a. Stephen Glover) has never been afraid to take risks in the name of entertainment. After a brief stint at the University of Miami, he pursued his dream of becoming a stunt performer by enrolling in Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. That unconventional path eventually led him to team up with Johnny Knoxville on what would become MTV’s groundbreaking stunt-based reality show Jackass. The show’s debut in 2000 launched Steve-O into international fame. Since then, he has found success as a New York Times best-selling author with his memoir Professional Idiot, and has built a thriving career in stand-up comedy. With over fourteen years of sobriety, Steve-O continues to evolve as an entertainer while staying true to his outrageous sense of humor. In 2022, he reunited with Knoxville and the crew for Jackass Forever, which opened at #1 at the box office. He also released his second book, A Hard Kick In The Nuts: What I Learned From A Lifetime Of Terrible Decisions.
