The Center for the Arts
Genre: bluegrass, rock, reggae, singer-songwriter Keller Williams, the genre-blurring multi-instrumentalist from Virginia, has built a loyal following with his signature solo looping shows and ever-evolving musical projects. Since his 1994 debut FREEK, Keller has released a steady stream of one-syllable-titled albums—each a unique sonic experiment spanning rock, funk, bluegrass, jazz, and what he dubs “acoustic dance music” (ADM). Known for his improvisational live sets and playful originality, Keller keeps audiences guessing with every performance, whether solo or alongside collaborators like Keller & The Keels, Grateful Grass, and his latest ensemble, DeadPettyKellerGrass. Relentlessly inventive and refreshingly unconventional, Keller continues to tour clubs and festivals nationwide, delivering joyfully unpredictable musical experiences.
